Samuel Pronovost blends classical music, rap, and cinematic soundscapes on powerful new single “New Earth.”

“Montreal-born composer and multi-instrumentalist Samuel Pronovost pushes creative boundaries with the release of New Earth, a bold and cinematic new single that blends classical music, electronic production, spoken word, and rap into a powerful artistic statement on climate change.

With New Earth, Samuel Pronovost delivers a release that is both musically ambitious and socially relevant. Combining technical mastery with artistic purpose, the single stands as a compelling example of how contemporary composers can use music not only to entertain, but to inspire conversation and reflection.”

Top 5 Worldwide - Score the World (2021)

My recomposition of the music for a scene from László Nemes’ film Son of Saul earned me a spot in the Top 5 worldwide in the Score the World International Film Scoring Competition. With violin performances by myself and oboe by Mélissa Tremblay.

The Garden of Earthly Delights (2026)

A less common form of music to picture (in this case, to a painting), The Garden of Earthly Delights is a four-movement orchestral piece depicting the famous triptych painted by Hieronymus Bosch between 1490 and 1510. In this video, I invite you on a sensory journey into the heart of the painting, in all of it’s details—as fantastical as they are grotesque—paired with a vast spectrum of orchestral colors and textures.

Veneficium (2021)

The music for the horror game Veneficium, which I contributed to, was designed to immerse the player in a grim and austere atmosphere.

“𝘚𝘵𝘢𝘺 𝘲𝘶𝘪𝘦𝘵. 𝘚𝘵𝘢𝘺 𝘩𝘪𝘥𝘥𝘦𝘯. 𝘞𝘢𝘵𝘤𝘩 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘱𝘴. 𝘐𝘧 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘥𝘰𝘯'𝘵, 𝘙𝘶𝘯. Play as Abigail in her quest to find her grandmother in a cursed forest. Use your spellcasting abilities to hide from various dangers. Will you survive the night?

Ophélia - orchestral version (2026)

To mark singer-songwriter Mathilde Duval-Laplante’s 10-year career, I composed an orchestral arrangement of her song Ophélia.

« I find that Samuel Pronovost’s orchestration heightens the tragicness of the Shakespearean heroine’s story. »

I had the pleasure of performing and recording Révérence (2020), a composition by Philippe Paquet, alongside violist Marilou Lepage and pianist Eva Lachhar, at the prestigious Planet Studios in Montreal.
